Houston and More St. Louis Monster Jam Photos Online!

Jeremy Verret, Ed Hoormann and  Josh Rhodes have been hard at work getting their photos to us from Houston and St. Louis, respectively. Check them out in the 2012 Photos section, and thanks go out to both of them for their support, as well as Ryan Rice from Incinerator for the hospitality. In St. Louis, the racing finals came down to a battle of old teammates, with Jimmy Creten and Bounty Hunter emerging victorious over Linsey Weenk and Lucas Oil Crusader. Freestyle was a great show as well, with Carl VanHorn and Grave Digger coming up just short in his bid to outdo Tom Meents’ Maximum Destruction, who ended with a truck in pieces but the freestyle victory. Be sure to check out the photos, and stay tuned to our Twitter and Facebook pages for more updates!

The last weekend in January for monster trucks proved every bit as exciting as the promise, with several shows enjoying what I call defining moments–those ones where you’re just happy to be a monster truck fan and realize you’re seeing something special. A lot of these moments were provided by the Maximum Destruction team, with all three drivers–Tom Meents, Neil Elliott, and Kreg Christensen–picking up sweeps on the weekend. [Read More …]

New Orleans Photos Now Online!

Jeremy Verret attended the New Orleans Monster Jam and was great enough to send us all the awesome action shots from the event, where Tom Meents doubled down, taking racing and freestyle in Maximum Destruction. Andy Slifko took Eradicator to the racing finals, and Jim Koehler and Charlie Pauken had highlight freestyles in Avenger and Grave Digger, respectively. Plenty of highlight moments are in this gallery; we thank Jeremy for the photos. Check our 2012 Photos to see New Orleans!

Houston Monster Jam Photos Online

This past weekend was busy as usual for monster trucks, and we have a surprise special contribution from Jeremy Verret, who was kind enough to send us photos from the freestyle-only Houston Monster Jam. Fiesta King Krunch driven by David Smith would emerge victorious in the Wheelie and Freestyle competitions, while Charlie Pauken and Grave Digger took home the Donut contest victory on a night when many trucks suffered breakage or unlucky bounces. Congratulations to Pauken and Smith on their victories, and enjoy the gallery in our 2012 photos section. Thanks to Jeremy for the photos!
