New Monster Truck Team – Awareness Racing

For immediate release:
-Paducah, KY
Todd Morey and Ed Dunning are proud to announce the formation of a brand new Monster Truck team: Awareness Racing. The partnership pairs the young and aggressive Morey, with successful Kentucky businessman Dunning.
In a vision that started nearly a year ago, team owner’s Todd Morey and Ed Dunning found themselves as an unlikely pairing. The two met at the Monster Jam announcers Summit 2011 and a friendship began immediately. Throughout the next few months they stayed in contact about all things motorsports.  Todd at this point, was a part time stock car driver in  south Florida, driving only when sponsorship was available. Todd is also an announcer for NASCAR and Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam. Ed, owner of multiple businesses including Ed Dunning Design/Build, was then diagnosed with cancer in early 2012. As he focused on treatment and cancer freedom, during that same year, fellow announcer and close friend Joe Lowe, was also diagnosed with this disease. Monster Jam lost an icon and they lost a very close friend and mentor. We had lost Joe Lowe in his battle against cancer.
It was at this point that discussions turned into possibilities. Those possibilities then turned into a natural solution creating a campaign to reach millions :That being a Monster Truck Team that could bring hope, awareness and research funding to a world where cancer directly effects 1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men, nationwide.

Over the following weeks and months, a strategic plan was put into place to implement their vision and mission. From the company name, team members, truck name, logistics etc. it all had to be brought to life.

“Announcing our company name today is just the tip of the iceberg” said Morey. “Ed and I have been working on truck renderings with world renowned artist Tex McDorman and his wife Melissa for a few months now and are very close to coming up with our final design. The discussions have continued with a Monster Truck Team that Ed felt very strongly about, funding possibilities, marketing strategies and everything it will take to accomplish this mammoth size project not only on a national level but a global level as well.”
“Todd and I have logged literally hundreds of hours on the phone to produce a working business plan for this vision. This very special program involved a decision making process that has taken months. What Team could Awareness Racing partner with to supply the equipment needed, the logistics, a solid foundation, and a winning tradition? It be came evident that only one team in particular met all of our criteria and had the foresight to see what we were trying to accomplish at Awareness Racing. It is with great pride that we are very close to making that announcement with a very special team. A team that has it all!” said Dunning, adding “This announcement is especially important to me as it comes on my One Year Cancer Free Anniversary!”
Awareness Racing will release the Monster Truck rendering, truck name, team they will partner with, sponsorship, website, social media and apparell designs in the upcoming weeks.
