Bad News suffered engine problems throughout the weekend, going out in the second round. In the end, the Kid Rock truck won racing. Freestyle is tomorrow, and Team KCM, Bigfoot, and others will still be competing, although some teams have already packed up, planning on forgoing freestyle.
But that isn't all for tonight! Dustin Hart and Trevor Andrews are heading to Hampton, Virginia for tonight's Monster Jam and have already checked in with us. Look for updates from them later on.
We also have Josh Rhodes, who checked in on his way to the Indianapolis Special Events show at the RCA Dome.
All in all it will be a busy weekend; pull up a chair and check out the updates later tonight!
November 20, 2005-1:30 AMEDIT: HAMPTON TEASERS NOW UP! INDY AND HAMPTON UPDATES
All of our reporters have checked in and it was an exciting day in monster truck racing and freestyle. Coverage from Hampton is now available in our Coverage section thanks to Dustin Hart and Trevor Andrews, and some photos will be on the way tomorrow!
Josh Rhodes checked in from Indianapolis as well, and we have information on that as well. Doug Noelke's Big Dawg was able to win on the Minneapolis style head-to-head racing course over Dan Runte (Bigfoot) in the finals.
Jim Koehler took the freestyle win with a perfect 30 from the judges after a huge launch on a large dirt pile pogoed the truck, then sent it onto two wheels, where he was able to save it and continue, eventually tearing the four link bars and a wheel off of the truck, named "Wrecking Crew" for the event.
Raminator had a couple of standing start power wheelies and plenty of air over the dirt pile as well, in addition to a strong run and several notable sky wheelies from Andy Hoffman's Nitemare.
Photos and more information will be online as soon as possible; we thank Josh, Trevor, and Dustin for their help!
