Adam Anderson and Grave Digger entered Anaheim with a six point lead over Damon Bradshaw and Monster Energy on the Monster Jam FS1 Championship Series with his sights set on expanding that lead this weekend. The fourth round of the Monster Jam FS1 Championship Series rolled into Lucas Oil Stadium this weekend where valuable points were on the line towards the series title and an automatic bid into Monster Jam World Finals XVII. The FS1 Championship Series leader Adam Anderson and Grave Digger were poised to build on their lead while the likes of Tom Meents, Damon Bradshaw, and Dustin Brown had their sites set to close the gap that Anderson had built over three events. Just one week into the 2016 Monster Jam FS1 Championship Series and the storylines are already growing in the hunt for the title and a guaranteed spot into the Monster Jam World Finals. 16 trucks did battle on the floor of the Georgia Dome and two drivers currently sit atop of the series standings after leaving Atlanta.
Following the success of last year’s series, Monster Jam is returning the FS1 Championship Series for 2016. Last season saw some of the most interesting story-lines in recent Monster Jam history over the course of nine weeks as sixteen Monster Jam competitors battled it out for a series title and four automatic qualifier sports into Monster Jam World Finals XVI. It’s with heavy hearts we share the news of the passing of Dalton Millican, 22, of Drummonds, Tennessee passed away last night in a single person motorcycle crash. A statement released by the Millican family broke the news to the world this morning.
Family, Friends & Fans – It is with extremely heavy hearts that we let you know that late last night we lost our beloved son, Dalton Millican, age 22, in a single-person motorcycle accident close to our hometown of Drummonds, Tenn. We are heartbroken by the tragic loss to our family. We appreciate all of your love and support as we navigate through the very difficult road ahead. Funeral arrangements are pending and we will announce those once they have been finalized. We ask for your continued love and prayers and privacy at this time. – Clay, Donna and Cale Millican
The highly talented youngster was an up and coming driver in Monster Jam as the pilot of Blue Thunder on the #MoreMonsterJam tour, as well as an accomplished ATV racer. He showed flashes of brilliance behind the wheel of Blue Thunder with many thrilling moments but away from the track Dalton was loved by many. As the son of six-time Top Fuel dragster champion and current NHRA driver Clay Millican and his mother Donna, Dalton was around motorsports his entire life and was well on his way to making his own mark in the world of motorsports.
Our hearts go out to Dalton’s friends and family during this difficult time.

As the calendar strikes August and the anticipation of a new school year draws near, the annual Back to School Monster Truck Bash is one last summer hurrah for many Charlotte area kids, but for the monster truck industry it’s one of the most unique events on the circuit. This year would be no different, as eight of the best monster trucks were set to do battle on an even tougher version of the infamous crossover course seen over the last six years in Charlotte. So far 2015 has been an interesting year for the monster truck industry, with a number of ups and downs. Few things generated as much buzz going into the new year as the announcement of the Fox Sports 1 Championship Series from Monster Jam. The series put 16 trucks together to compete over the course of nine weeks with four automatic qualifier positions into World Finals XVI and a championship trophy on the line. For Monster Jam, it would be the first points series in over a decade, which led to much discussion and anticipation about how the season would unfold. The media crew at Monster Truck Throwdown had a busy 2014 working on an awesome new monster truck DVD titled Throw Down For What which follows the 2014 Monster Truck Throwdown season, featuring some incredible events in Illinois, Maine, and Michigan. The DVD takes an in depth look at the action on the track, as well as behind the scenes as the drivers and crews alike battle against each other, and the elements at some of the biggest independent Monster Truck events in the country. With some of the sports top drivers and rising stars Throw Down For What has plenty of thrills with wild action, but make no mistake this film is more than just jumps and crashes. The crew focused on bringing a different perspective to Monster Truck videos by focusing on what happens behind the scenes, both on and off the track. (Indianapolis) – The Lucas Oil Monster Truck Nationals returns for 2015 with a 13-show winter season tour celebrating the 40th birthday of the Original Monster Truck – Bigfoot. The Lucas Oil Monster Truck Nationals invites fans to attend Bigfoot’s Birthday Bash and Smash Tour. It opens at Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, IA on January 16th and will visit six cities, wrapping up for the season in Columbus, OH on April 11th. The five truck all-star show will feature three Monster Trucks from the legendary Bigfoot stable, including the Lucas Oil Bigfoot and the two Hemi-powered RAM Monster Trucks, Raminator and Rammunition from Hall Brothers Racing. Making its debut on the Tour for 2015 will be a green 10ft. tall and 25ft. long fire-breathing, fast-moving mechanical creature called RockZilla that will amaze and delight audiences with its danger-hungry feats between Monster Truck runs.
