Monster Jam Slated for First-Ever European Tour Trucks, Television and the New Frontier for Monster Jam AURORA, III. (July 25, 2005) – Clear Channel Entertainment’s Motor Sports division announced today that its Monster Jam tour will embark on a 10-city, 38 performance European run, starting August 12 in Manchester, UK at the Manchester Evening News Arena. Monster Jam, the world’s largest touring monster truck series, made its début tour in Europe last year, selling out the three stops in Stockholm, Sweden, Helsinki, Finland and Antwerp, Belgium. Although Europe had never been exposed to the non-stop energy of Monster Jam live, the nationally televised programs that aired months before the live performance earned impressive ratings and introduced Monster Jam to the fans in Europe. This year is no different. Monster Jam is currently airing broadcasts in Europe in seven countries, including: Belgium (Plug TV); Sweden (TV3 & ZTV); Finland (Nelonen); Switzerland (Star TV); Holland (RTL 7), Italy (Italia 1), UK (Channel 4 & Kerrang TV!). A future announcement will be made on the coverage in Germany and Czech Republic. The show format for Monster Jam Europe will mirror the performances that European fans are watching on television. European fans will enjoy a stellar line up of the world’s most recognizable trucks: world champions Grave Digger, Madusa and El Toro Loco and fan favorites Monster Mutt, Superman and Escalade. "We are extremely pleased with the success from last year and the speed of expanding the Monster Jam brand all over Europe,” said Magnus Danielson, senior director of European events, Clear Channel Entertainment – Motor Sports. “We are already having several fruitful discussions for 2006 and right now looking at promoting and producing more than 20 cities.” Each of the multi-performance European shows, consist of a variety of entertaining motorsports properties, including IFMA Freestyle Motocross and the 200 mph jet dragster. 2005 Schedule August 12-14 Manchester, UK Manchester Evening News Arena August 19-20 Birmingham, UK Birmingham N.I.A.
